I've been boo-ed by Patti over at nonnasnews. Thanks Patti! This is cool!
Wow just got home from our Fall fest at school. I think the kids had a good time. I was busy serving nachos so I didn't get to see much, but it was fun seeing the kids dressed up in their costumes. Wheeew! Glad to have it over with. LOL
This is our home office and I am trying to organize and get to look less junky. I just can't seem to do it. I need to decorate it and that would probably help my feelings about it a lot. I just move the junk from the rest of the house in here and nothing really goes together. Oh well I thought I'd take a picture and maybe I can do a before and after if I ever get it done.
My Mom and My Aunt Marilyn have this thing about sandwich kissin'. Just one of those tradition things in our family. I love it! This is at the rehearsal dinner. They helped so much. I don't know what I would do without them. They are the greatest! This is Jayson, Logan and Lonny. Hey, where's mine?
Michelle had a surprise birthday party for Jayson (his b-day is the 18th) Saturday night at Wingstop and then we went bowling. I haven't been bowling in many years. It was a blast! Thanks Michelle for having us all.
I got my new LG 26.5 cu ft refrigerator today. I love it. I think I would have been happy with a ice box at this point though. Haha! It really doesn't match the other appliances but that is what has been my problem all along (trying to match the other appliances) That is why I kept getting the Samsung. Maybe I won't have to get a new one again in 2 years or less. Anyway I'm tickled!
These biscuits have nothing to do with it but I hope my mother and father in law had a great anniversary! Don't know how many years to be exact, but I do know it is 50 something! That is way cool Yall.
Garlic Cheese Biscuits
2 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix ¾ cup whole milk 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) cold butter ¼ teaspoon garlic powder 1 heaping cup grated cheddar cheese
Brush on Top: 2 tablespoons melted butter ¼ teaspoon parsley flakes (dried) ½ teaspoon garlic powder pinch salt
Directions 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a large fork. You don't want to mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix. 3. Drop approximately ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown. 5. When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Brush garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Makes one dozen biscuits.
