Yahoo school is out for the week. I'm looking for a project (when I really need to be cleaning out and organizing) I've got some pretty scarey closets and cabinets...if you know what I mean? Oh well they will be there till I get to them. And besides I have some movie catchin' up to do :)

Gracie at A Touch of Grace awarded me this special award...Thanks Gracie, it was so nice of you to think of me.
I am suppose to pass it along, but I enjoy each and every one of your blogs so much that I am going to award it to all who come by and would like to grab it. I follow so many blogs and enjoy each of them so much. I sometimes wonder...what did I do before I started blogging? You are all such inspirations and I have made so many friends. Thanks y'all!!!
Wow it has been a month since I posted...time flies!!! What a beautiful Friday it was here in East Texas. The sun finally came out. It has been so long since we saw sunshine I can't remember when it was?
I just went out back and saw these beauties...morning glories at 7 in the evening! They are just covering my pergola.
I had this arrangement for a long time...it had lemons and then grapes and a lot of olive leaves, but I needed some flowers for it and had been looking at Michaels and Hobby Lobby, but never found exactly what I wanted. Well a few weeks ago I went to a Garage sale and this young lady had a big bundle of flowers just tied together laying there (unmarked) I asked how much she wanted for them and she said make an offer...well I hate to do that...I might offend someone, ya know...so I kind of shrugged my shoulders like I don't know and she said how about two dollars. Well, I said Ok...inside I was having a party saying Oh yea!!!! Anyway I added the hydrangeas and little grassy things to the arrangement and this is what I came up with. I sure wish I had a before picture. Not too shabby for 2 bucks. Gotta love Garage Sales!!!
Dozen Red Roses Hubby bought me for our 30 year anniversary. They look like velvet. They are so pretty...he did good.
We have had trouble with wild grapevine growing in the azaleas by the deck...well we got tired of fighting them so we're letting them grow over the pergola...we're liking it. Goes to show you... don't fight nature! I have got to get rid of that ugly white pot hanging on there. Actually I really need to clean the whole jungle off the deck. LOL
Sometimes In life your lucky enough to meet a friend who will be your friend forever. I met one 29 years ago. I Love you Kat and I will miss you . Rest In Peace my friend.

Lon got this Howard Miller clock for 30 years of service with the company he works for. I wasn't sure if it would go with anything we have, but it goes nicely with our entertainment center. I love it! It has the westminister chime. I am really trying to get back to a more traditional decor.
I got the little night stand at a garage sale. Painted it black.
This was my hope chest... not part of the set.
This was my husband's grandmother's furniture. My Mother in law (she was born on this bed) has had it for years. I have always loved it...well about a month ago she told my husband to come and get it! I could have died. I haven't had anything in that bedroom since my son got married last summer, so it was the perfect time. I am just getting started on decorating in here, I need to find more of this red floral fabric for pillows and things. I had it left over from my dining room, Hancocks doesn't carry it anymore, but it will come together. I'll post more pictures when I get it decorated.
I live in East Texas. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 37 years and have 2 grown sons, 2 wonderful daughters-in-law and 3 precious grands.
We have a sweet dog named Sammy.
Thank you God, for I am blessed!
